This week we will be studying Genesis 11:1-9 under the theme “To Make a Name for Ourselves.” Whereas God’s people were commanded to fill the earth, they instead chased recognition, security, and identity apart from God. The Tower of Babel warns us against proud self-reliance and points us to the one name worth exalting — Jesus Christ.
Series Summary: Our fall worship series will lead us through the Book of Genesis, arguably the most profound, insightful text in human history. Over this series, we’ll uncover how the narratives of Genesis reveal God’s design for creation, humanity, relationships, and purpose. We’ll explore truths that continue to shape our lives today, from the Garden of Eden to the promise of redemption.
